Julie Zambo
Accountant/Business Manger

 

Julie Came to HVS in 2011 with 20 years business experience. Wanting a break from accounting Julie took a position working in boarding until October of 2019 when she took over as Clinic Manager. She has a husband, and 2 cats and she enjoys hiking, high performance driving and music.

Office Manager- Sadie Pennington

Sadie graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor's in Animal Science. She moved to Indiana from Washington in 2015. Sadie enjoys playing many different roles in the clinic and interacting with clients and their patients. At home she has two spoiled dogs, and two cats. Sadie and her husband welcomed their child in June of 2020 and they are enjoying introducing him to the excitement of pet ownership.

Kathy Allen
Reception

 

Kathy has been with Horizon as an office assistant since 2006. She enjoys working in an environment which allows her to help both pets and people. She lives in Delphi with her husband, Rick.  Kathy has a wonderful human and animal family at home; three fur babies "Ginger", "Harley", and "Pepsi".  She enjoys spending any spare time with her families as they are the most important in her life. Kathy also enjoys antiques, photography, art, shopping, and food!

Shari Brown
Reception

 

Shari has been with Horizon as an office assistant since 2019.  She has a BS in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Shari lives in Delphi with her husband and two daughters. She also has two fur babies, Jax and Tucker. Shari enjoys spending time with her family, as well as cooking, gardening and reading.

Sierra Disinger
Assistant

 

Sierra began working at Horizon in October of 2019 and loves her job. She has a passion for animals of all kinds. Sierra enjoys hanging out with family and friends, being outdoors, photography, cooking and playing with her fur baby, a black lab named Naveah.

Alanna Hamilton
Assistant

Alanna (clinic assistant) a Carroll high school senior planning to attend Purdue University the Fall of 2018.  She will study Biochemistry before continuing on to  Veterinary School. Alanna has volunteered at Horizon throughtout 2016 and has been employed since February of 2017.  Her love of animals is shown through her devotion to the many pets, wildlife and barnyard animals she has cared for.  These include her best pal "Mavis" and Akita mix, her three cats "Annabelle, "Esther", "Eugene and a variety of poultry.

Katie Letson
Registered Veterinary Technician   (RVT)

Katie is an RVT who grew up on a farm in the Battleground area where her love and compassion for animals developed at a very young age. Katie started working at Horizon in 2001 and graduated in 2009 with an AAS and a degree in Veterinary Technology. Her experiences include both small and large animal veterinary medicine. Particular areas of interest include surgery and anesthesia. Katie loves that she is still able to learn new things and that no 2 days are ever the same at work.
Outside of work her family includes her husband, 3 young boys, her dog 'Pip' and a couple of adorable guinea pigs. In her free time she enjoys being in nature, antique stores, cooking, and driving her 1970 Nova.

Betty

Kennel Assistant

Betty has been with Horizon Veterinary Service since 1999 and has been an animal lover all her life. Betty is a wearer of many hats at Horizon
serving as support staff with puppy deliveries, maintenance, housekeeping and kennel care.  She especially enjoys  the kennel care. Betty grew
up on a farm in Warren County, and loves to work with all creatures great and small.  Betty has two married children and nine grandchildren and a rambunctious boxer "Abby".

Hope

Kennel Assistant

 

Hope is a senior in high school. She has worked at Horizon since 2019. Hope has worked with police dogs her entire life and helped with their training. She intends to continue training working dogs after graduation.
